Lets Get Started

This idea started developing a few months back when I took a serious look at our churches mission statement. The statement currently reads "Equipping Ordinary People to Change the World." Now I understand what the missions statement is trying to say but I think that this allows people to take up the mindset that I'm ordinary what do I have to offer. Well the truth is NO ONE IS ORDINARY; we are all unique individuals with inspiring stories. Stories of struggle, abuse, abandonment, drugs,disease, death, laziness, pain, etc. But the stories don't end there; they end with redemption, a new beginning, love, peace, fulfillment. These stories or testimonies should be harnessed and used as we minister to a hurting world. I believe if people can articulate their story and find an outlet to plug them into then we will successfully be "Equipping Unique People to Change the World."
Where the name came from:
"Me2 Plugged In" simply came from the idea of plugging or connecting people into ministries where they are able to say to lost people ME TOO! Our world doesn't need another person barking at them for what they have done wrong. They need a friend who will look them in the eyes, confront their issues, and say "you know what me too, but let me show you the light at the end of the tunnel, the One who loves us in spite of our mistakes or problems." We need to start confronting people with the love of Christ, Christ spent his time with the thieves, the liars, the prostitutes, and he showed them a love they had never experienced.
