Humble Pie

So last night I got served a wonderfully large slice of humble pie. For all of you that know me I love to play men's church league slow pitch softball. I mean come on that's like playing in the majors. But wow, we had our first two games last night and we got spanked. Now its not like I'm the most competitive guy. Okay that's a joke. But we (especially me) did almost everything wrong, from making errors to loosing our cool and yelling at each other. I was talking to one of my best friends Adam Love after the game and we were so embarrassed that we acted that way. I mean if we think about why were out there its to Glorify God and nothing else. We missed that opportunity last night but I'm going to be praying for humility and self control. So sorry to our one fan that was out there.

What a Great Guy

Yall need to check out this blog and follow Guy Waskos family. He has been the biggest mentor to me and my walk with the Lord. I just found out that he is following the Lords calling and uprooting his family and moving to Manhattan to plant a church. He has an a amazing story as well as an amazing gift of speaking into peoples live. I urge you all to follow his family through this wonderful call and support them anyway you can, through prayer, financial assistance, or even in planting the church. Spoken To

Went on to Biblegateway.com this morning to read a few passages before I headed out to the office. Wow did the Verse of the Day hit me right where I needed it. It was like the Lord directed me right to the page. It is not an everyday occurance for me to get on the Website and it just so happened I popped on when this was the verse of the day.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”- Philippians 4:6-7
Today's passage is from the New International Version.

I like how the message puts it:

Philippians 4:6-7 (The Message)
6-7Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.

Strugglin

Hey guys ive been making the ultimate blogging blunder. I haven't posted in a few days and i know thats not the thing to do when you want to get people following your blog. I have to confess ive hit a block. I feel like im slowing down and have no exciting or intilectual ideas to bring forth in the blog so I felt as if I shouldn't post anything. Something I think im learning is it doesn't matter how creative I want to be, I should keep seeking the Lord and what stop hindering what he wants to do. I feel as if he is working in me with every post I write. Thanks for listening to me vent this evening. Ill be back this week excited about what the Lord will want to teach me.
